Pyongyang: North Korea holds its third day of the Workers' Party Congress, with the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reporting that the ruling Workers' Party of Korea convened its ninth major summit in the capital city. Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un presented a comprehensive report reviewing the party's performance over the past five years.
According to Thai News Agency, the KCNA detailed that Kim's report provided an assessment of the party's activities during its past term and outlined new strategies and goals for the next five years. These plans include tasks across all sectors aimed at advancing the socialist system in North Korea.
North Korean state television, KRT, aired footage of Kim Jong Un delivering his speech as officials and attendees took notes. Following Kim's address, party representatives, including Foreign Minister Cho Son-hui, spoke to the audience. They stated that the report offered strategic and tactical directions for entering a new phase of development and expressed confidence in the nation's future along the established path.
