Pattaya Lifeguards Save Dutch Tourist from Drowning

Pattaya: Lifeguards at Jomtien Beach in Pattaya successfully rescued a Dutch tourist from drowning, ensuring her survival through timely intervention and CPR before transferring her to a hospital where she recovered.

According to Thai News Agency, the incident involved a Dutch woman, approximately 60 years old, who was discovered unconscious and without a pulse. The lifeguards performed continuous CPR until her pulse returned, and she was then swiftly transported to Pattaya City Hospital for further medical treatment. The rescue operation took place at Khong Dong Tan Beach, Nong Prue Subdistrict, Bang Lamung District, Chonburi Province.

Lifeguard Thongchai Thiangcharoen reported that the tourist experienced a cramp while swimming, which led to her drowning. A good Samaritan assisted in bringing her to shore, where Thongchai immediately checked for a pulse and began CPR. Coordination with an ambulance from Pattaya Hospital ensured that she received further assistance at the scene.
