PEA Secures Six State Enterprise Awards for 2025

Bangkok: PEA received six State Enterprise Awards (SOE Awards) for 2025 under the theme "Thai State Enterprises: More Than Pride, Towards Sustainable Development." Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, presided over the awards ceremony where leaders and executives of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) were honored.

According to Thai News Agency, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) excelled in six categories at the 2025 Outstanding State Enterprise Awards. The first accolade, the Outstanding Organizational Management Award, recognized PEA's efficient management system and sustainable growth in areas such as strategic planning, risk management, and digital technology development.

Mr. Supachai Ek-aun, former Governor of PEA, was celebrated with the Outstanding Organizational Leader Award for the second consecutive year. His leadership was pivotal in steering PEA to sustainable success, marked by his strategic vision and goal achievement.

The Sustainable State Enterprise Development Award was another feather in PEA's cap, highlighting its transformation into a sustainable state enterprise. PEA's vision, "Smart Energy for Better Life and Sustainability," directs its operations, emphasizing ESG (Economic, Social, and Governance) dimensions.

In the realm of social responsibility, the PEA Electric Boat Project earned the Outstanding Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility Award. This initiative promotes electric long-tail boats, reducing pollution and enhancing tourist attractions, initially piloted in Damnoen Sawat District, Ratchaburi Province.

PEA's innovative edge was acknowledged with the Outstanding Creativity and Innovation Award for the PEA Adapter. This business model addresses electric vehicle (EV) charging needs through advanced technologies like AI-powered control and time-of-use metering, facilitating efficient network management.

Lastly, the Outstanding Service Award was awarded to PEA for the PEA Smart Experience project. This initiative improves customer service by focusing on seamless interactions across physical and digital channels, enhancing accessibility and reducing customer costs.

The State Enterprise Award (SOE Award) ceremony, organized by the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO), aims to encourage excellence among state enterprises. The awards spotlight contributions to national development under the theme "Beyond Pride, Towards Sustainability," promoting efficiency and growth.
