Bangkok: The State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) has recognized outstanding state enterprises for 2025, with a focus on environmental protection and sustainability. Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, led the awards ceremony under the theme "State Enterprises Driving Thai Society, Delivering Sustainability," highlighting the achievements in 12 categories.
According to Thai News Agency, the SEPO has organized the SOE Awards to encourage state enterprises to improve efficiency, achieve organizational excellence, and succeed in various sectors. This year's theme, "State Enterprises Driving Thai Society, Aiming for Sustainable Results," underscores the role of state enterprises in promoting growth across economic, social, and environmental dimensions, contributing to sustainable national development.
The 2025 SOE Awards recognized several state enterprises in various categories. The Outstanding State Enterprise Board Award honored PTT Public Company Limited and Government Savings Bank in the honorary categories, while the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives was noted in the outstanding category. The Award for Outstanding Organizational Management went to Government Savings Bank and PTT Public Company Limited in the honorary categories, with the Provincial Electricity Authority recognized as outstanding.
Awards also highlighted organizational development, leadership, and digital progress. The Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited and Port Authority of Thailand received the Outstanding Organizational Development Award. Leadership accolades were given to Mr. Witai Rattanagorn and Mr. Supachai Eka-un for their contributions to state enterprises.
The push for digital transformation was acknowledged with the Development towards Digital State Enterprises Award given to entities such as the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and PTT Public Company Limited. Sustainable development efforts were recognized with awards to EGAT, PTT Public Company Limited, and others.
Corporate social and environmental responsibilities were also celebrated. The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand and the Government Savings Bank, among others, were acknowledged in the outstanding categories, while the Export-Import Bank of Thailand received commendation.
Creativity and innovation were recognized in separate categories. The Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and the Government Savings Bank were noted for creativity, while PTT Public Company Limited and EGAT were highlighted for innovation.
Strategic cooperation between entities was acknowledged, with the Government Housing Bank and EGAT recognized for their collaborative efforts. Service excellence was celebrated with awards to the Bank for Agriculture and Agricultural Cooperatives and the Government Housing Bank.
In the realm of management processes, the Government Housing Bank and Thailand Tobacco Monopoly, as well as PTT Public Company Limited and the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research, were recognized for their cooperation.
