Pheu Thai Party Open to Alliances but Emphasizes Policy Compatibility

Bangkok: Pheu Thai Party is not ruling out the possibility of forming alliances with any other political party, but insists that their policies must not conflict. Yotsanu Wongsawat, the Pheu Thai Party's prime ministerial candidate, highlighted that he does not want the party to be perceived as the third-largest party just yet, noting the positive public response he has received after campaigning.

According to Thai News Agency, Yotsanu Wongsawat shared insights into the discussions regarding potential political alliances. He believes that forming alliances at this stage might be premature, yet emphasized the importance of prioritizing the people. By engaging in dialogue with citizens, the Pheu Thai Party seeks to understand public concerns and formulate policies accordingly. Yotsanu stated that as long as there are no conflicting policy issues, alliances could be considered with any political party.

Yotsanu reiterated that the party is open to cooperating with any party that can implement its policies. He mentioned that despite being labeled as the third-largest party, the positive feedback received during campaigns encourages them to focus on policy implementation. The Pheu Thai Party is willing to collaborate with other parties that propose policies agreeable to the public.

When questioned about the conditions for cooperating with the Pheu Thai Party, particularly regarding Article 112, Mr. Julaphan Amornvivat, leader and prime ministerial candidate of the Pheu Thai Party, emphasized that cooperation is contingent upon policy alignment. He stated that all considerations, including those related to Article 112, are encompassed within their policy framework.
