Phuket: The Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization is gearing up to host the Phuket Kite Festival 2026 from April 3-5 at Nong Han Park, Karon Beach, Mueang District, Phuket Province. According to Thai News Agency, the festival aims to integrate local culture with creative tourism, featuring diverse Thai kites from various regions and international kites, providing a spectacular display in the skies above Phuket's beaches. Mr. Rewat Areerob, President of the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization, emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting the kite-flying culture, a valuable local wisdom. He stated that the festival is intended to stimulate the tourism economy of Phuket province, aiming to make it a significant festival that enhances the charm of Thai and international kites while promoting tourism and the local economy. The event will include various activities such as fancy and large kite displays, traditional kite exhibitions, kite-related educational activities for youth, and a Craft Coffee zone. Visitors can participate in workshops for kite making, kite painting, and keychain crafting from recycled materials. Additionally, there will be community product sales and entertainment by famous artists like Musketeers, OG-ANIC, LAZYLOXY, and ETC, creating an enjoyable atmosphere for attendees.
