Bangkok: The Commissioner General of Police has officially appointed Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwphan as the new spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police. This appointment follows the early retirement of Police Lieutenant General Yingyot Thepjamnong, who was the former Assistant Commissioner General and spokesperson for the Royal Thai Police.
According to Thai News Agency, Police General Kittirat Panpetch, the Commissioner General of the Royal Thai Police, has made this decision to ensure that the public relations of the Royal Thai Police remain accurate, timely, and effective. Police Lieutenant General Trairong Phiwphan, who previously served as Deputy Inspector General and Deputy Spokesperson, will now lead the communication efforts for the police force.
The spokesperson team is composed of five deputy spokespersons, including Police Lieutenant General Chaitpoj Suwannarak, Police Major General Jaroonkiat Panngaeo, Pol. Maj. Gen. Teeradet Thamsuthee, Police Major General Siriwat Deepo, and Police Major General Chaturaphat Phiromkaew. Their role is to bridge the communication gap between the police and the public, focusing on areas such as law enforcement, crime prevention, transparency, and international relations.
