Bangkok: The Prime Minister delivered a keynote address at the 82nd annual meeting of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), focusing on the necessity of building an inclusive society to handle global volatility and an aging population. According to Thai News Agency, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul began his day by paying respects to the statue of Narasimha at Government House before leading a policy and budget planning meeting for the fiscal year 2027 at Muang Thong Thani. This meeting is expected to chart the financial course for the nation in the coming years, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
In addition to the ESCAP address, a delegation of ministers from relevant ministries and agencies is scheduled to visit Chiang Mai province. The goal of this visit is to monitor ongoing efforts and facilitate solutions to combat the persistent issues of wildfires, haze, and particulate matter (PM 2.5) that are impacting the northern region.
