Bangkok: The Prime Minister made a noteworthy visit to the press corps at Government House, emphasizing the strengthening of ties between the media and the government. Anutin Charnvirakul, who serves as both the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, took the opportunity to greet the press, humorously remarking on the memory benefits of ginkgo biloba, before emphasizing his need to return to his duties.
According to Thai News Agency, at 12:00 PM, Anutin Charnvirakul descended from the Khu Fah Building to meet with the media and the Prime Minister's Office spokesperson team near the Nareesamosorn Building. This gathering was part of a media relations event organized for interaction between government representatives and reporters.
During his visit, the Prime Minister indulged in some fruit and ice cream and prepared a cup of green tea. While interacting with the media, he shared a light-hearted moment about his daily consumption of ginkgo biloba, a practice recommended by his father. The playful exchange with General Kriengkrai Srirak, Deputy Speaker of the Senate, about the memory-enhancing qualities of ginkgo biloba brought laughter to those present, including the media and the spokesperson team.
Anutin Charnvirakul mentioned that he could not linger as he had pressing work to attend to at Government House. He expressed that his visit was merely a brief greeting and an opportunity to enjoy some ice cream.
Reporters observed that after finishing his ice cream, the Prime Minister insisted on disposing of the cup himself, demonstrating his personal commitment to cleanliness. He remarked on his habit of picking up litter, emphasizing his personal responsibility for waste disposal.
Before the Prime Minister's informal interaction, the government spokesperson team, led by Ms. Rachada Thanadirek, had engaged with the press over a meal. The gathering also included Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Ms. Ploytalay Laksmisangchan, and Captain Patthadarasmi Thongslueykorn, along with Ms. Supamas Isarabhakdi, Mr. Paradorn Prisnanantakul, and Ms. Traisuli Traisaranakul, fostering a sense of camaraderie and open communication.
