Bangkok: Deputy Prime Minister Ekniti presented awards to outstanding state enterprises for 2025. PTT and Government Savings Bank won the top state enterprise awards for 2025, while the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) focused on promoting state enterprises to drive national development.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, presided over the awards ceremony for outstanding state enterprises of 2025 (SOE Awards). The event was organized by the State Enterprise Policy Office (SEPO) of the Ministry of Finance under the theme "Driving Society, Delivering Sustainability." This year, awards were presented in 12 categories.
Mr. Thippee Wattanakul, Director of SEPO, congratulated the 12 state enterprises that received the Outstanding State Enterprise Awards for 2025. The judging criteria were based on the year-round evaluation and submissions to various project competitions. The Outstanding State Enterprise Awards have been held since 2005 and are celebrating their 20th anniversary this year. The aim is to empower state enterprises to be key drivers of national development, both in investment and overall growth. Infrastructure, including electricity and water, plays a crucial role in a country's credit rating. If state enterprises perform well in this area, the country's rating will improve. Therefore, he encouraged state enterprises to work together for sustainable national development, integrating ESG (Economic, Social, and Environmental) aspects into their organizational development.
Regarding the Outstanding State Enterprise Awards, the process will be stronger in 2026. This year, PTT Public Company Limited and the Government Savings Bank received awards. It is believed that in the coming years, all state enterprises will compete, and encouragement is extended to all state enterprises.
Mr. Nattawut Paisalwattana, Deputy Director of SEPO, congratulated the 12 state enterprises that received awards. He stated that these awards reflect the Ministry of Finance's commitment to developing state enterprises with outstanding management in all aspects, enabling them to respond to economic, social, and environmental needs for future sustainability.
The results for the 2025 SOE Awards in all 12 categories are as follows: Outstanding State Enterprise Board Award, Outstanding Organizational Management, Outstanding Organizational Development, Outstanding Organizational Leadership, Development towards Digital State Enterprises, Sustainable Development, Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility, Creativity and Innovation, Strategic Cooperation for Development, Outstanding Service, and Cooperation in Management Processes. The award for outstanding state enterprise of 2025 goes to the Government Savings Bank and PTT Public Company Limited.
