PTT Group Confirms Energy Infrastructure Stability After Myanmar Earthquake


Bangkok: PTT Group is confident that it has sufficient energy for continuous use. It has inspected the infrastructure and found that it can operate and provide services as usual and has not been damaged. It reiterates its mission to create energy security.



According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Kongkrapan Intarajang, Chief Executive Officer and President of PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), confirmed that the earthquake, with its epicenter in Myanmar on March 28, 2025, will not affect PTT Group’s operations. He is confident that it will be able to continuously meet the people’s energy needs, reinforcing the mission to create energy security for the country.



PTT Group has inspected all operating areas, from natural gas production platforms, natural gas transmission systems in all areas, natural gas separation plants, oil refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, oil depots and petroleum depots nationwide, as well as gas stations and NGV service stations, and has confirmed that they are able to operate and provide services as usual and have not suffered any damage that would affect the energy production and distribution processes.



PTT places importance on operating according to safety standards and risk management. It has a management plan to support emergency situations to maintain the stability of the country’s energy system. PTT will closely monitor and watch the situation so that people have sufficient energy to use and can continue their daily lives, while also helping drive the economy forward steadily.
