Ratchanok Intanon Claims Victory at Malaysia Masters 2026

Kuala lumpur: "May" Ratchanok Intanon has clinched her first championship of the year by defeating Chen Yufei in straight games at the Malaysia Masters final. The triumph marks her third victory at this prestigious tournament.

According to Thai News Agency, the Perodua Malaysia Masters 2026, a World Tour Super 500 event, took place at Unifi Arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The tournament featured a total prize pool of US$500,000, approximately 16,250,000 Thai Baht. In the women's singles final, Ratchanok Intanon, the second seed and world number 7, overcame top seed and world number 4 Chen Yufei from China with scores of 21-17 and 21-15.

This victory adds to Ratchanok's previous Malaysia Masters wins in 2018 and 2019, bringing her total career titles to 24, which include World and Asian Championships. For her achievement, she received prize money amounting to US$37,500, or about 1,222,500 baht. The runner-up, Chen Yufei, was awarded US$19,000, approximately 619,400 baht.
