Royal Thai Army to Hold Ceremony Honoring Soldiers Involved in Border Dispute

Bangkok: The Royal Thai Army is set to conduct a ceremony to honor soldiers involved in the Thai-Cambodian border dispute on September 26, 2025. The event will be led by the Army Commander-in-Chief in front of the Royal Thai Army Memorial Wall, where assistance will be provided to the soldiers' heirs, and a special lecture will be delivered to the Second Army Region Commander.

According to Thai News Agency, preparations are underway at the Royal Thai Army for the ceremony dedicated to the soldiers who lost their lives during the Thai-Cambodian border conflict. The ceremony will take place in front of the Royal Thai Army Memorial Wall, featuring a plaque with images of the 16 fallen soldiers, along with brass plates displaying their names. General Pana Klaewplodthuk, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Army, will preside over the event, which will also be attended by Phra Ratchawacharathammasophon (Sila Sirichanto), known as Luang Pu Sila.

The schedule for the event includes a ceremony at 08.00 hrs to show respect to the national flag and sing the Thai national anthem on Thai National Flag Day. At 08.45 hrs, a ceremony will be held to honor the soldiers in front of the Army Memorial Wall. A Buddhist ceremony to dedicate merit to the deceased soldiers will follow at 09.30 hrs at the Kittikhajorn Auditorium. At 10.15 hrs, a ceremony will provide assistance to the heirs of the deceased soldiers. Additionally, Lt. Gen. Boonsin Phadklang, Commander of the 2nd Army Area, will give a special lecture on the day of honoring the brave soldiers at the Kittikhon Auditorium, Royal Thai Army.
