Sakon nakhon: Overwhelmed with faith, "Rung Nakhon Phanom," a young artist from Thai Doll Music (GMM Music), along with his family, devout followers, and fans, jointly created and donated statues of "Thao Phangkhi and Nang Ai," important characters in the legend of Pha Daeng and Nang Ai, to Wat Maha Phrom Phothirat in Ban Tha Wat Nuea, Tambon Lao Po Daeng, Amphoe Mueang, Sakon Nakhon Province. This effort serves as a spiritual anchor and helps preserve the cultural beliefs of Isan (Northeast Thailand).
According to Thai News Agency, "Rung Nakhon Phanom" revealed that the creation of this statue stemmed from his personal faith and belief. Before entering the music industry, he and his family had created songs about the legend of Pha Daeng Nang Ai, which was a crucial starting point that unexpectedly led him to become an artist under the Tidol Music label.
"I believe that my faith in him has improved my life, so I intended that if I had the means and my fans joined in making merit, I would build a statue of him as an offering. Today, everything has been accomplished thanks to the faith of all those who have contributed," Rung Nakhon Phanom said with joy, revealing that during the consecration ceremony, he couldn't hold back his tears of gratitude.
The creation of this sculpture is another reflection of the fusion of art, music, beliefs, and Isaan culture, which the younger generation is beautifully preserving and passing on to society.
