Bangkok: Minister Trinuch Thienthong has initiated the "Social Security Cares for Insured Persons" project, aimed at enhancing the quality of life for Thai workers across the nation. The project highlights the Ministry of Labor's dedication to improving health, safety, and welfare for workers.
According to Thai News Agency, on Thursday, December 4, 2025, Ms. Trinuch assigned Dr. Bunnada Supiyaphan, spokesperson for the Ministry of Labor, to lead the project's opening ceremony. The event, which took place at the TOT Workers Cooperative Limited in Chaeng Watthana, Bangkok, was attended by advisors to the Minister of Labor, representatives from the Social Security Office, businesses, insured individuals, and staff-totaling 200 participants.
Dr. Bunnada emphasized the project's alignment with Ms. Trinuch's policy of prioritizing workers' quality of life, especially in health and welfare domains. She stated that the project, which marks the birthday anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great on December 5th, aims to promote health and prevent diseases among insured persons. The initiative offers opportunities for health education, basic health screenings, and participation in activities organized by relevant network agencies. This reflects the Social Security Office's dedication to reaching insured individuals throughout the country and ensuring equal access to health promotion rights.
Ms. Malakalan Hopratum, Inspector-General of the Social Security Office, reported that the project targets six provinces: Chiang Mai, Chonburi, Nong Khai, Samut Prakan, and Bangkok on December 4, 2025, and Sa Kaeo Province on December 6, 2025. The project seeks to enhance access to health services for insured persons, making them more efficient and convenient. Activities include 14 health screening items, dental services via mobile units, lung cancer screening using AI technology, and health education supported by network agencies.
Ms. Malakalan concluded by affirming the Social Security Office's commitment to continually improving services and care quality for insured persons, ensuring that all Thai workers benefit from appropriate protection, good health, and a secure quality of life.
