Phasakon Siriphakayaporn also addressed the extension of voting in 15 SAOs within Kantaralak District, Sisaket Province, due to past conflicts along the Thai-Cambodian border. Voting in these areas, including SAOs such as Krachang and Bueng Malu, is postponed to January 18th, 2026, to accommodate residents still relocating from evacuation centers.

Furthermore, candidates for SAO positions have been cautioned against campaigning from 6 PM today until midnight on January 11th, 2026. Violators risk imprisonment of up to six months or a fine of up to 10,000 baht. Employers obstructing employees from voting may face imprisonment of up to two years or a fine of up to 40,000 baht.
