Bangkok: Smiling, Thammanat led MPs from the Kla Tham Party to report to Parliament and paid respects to sacred sites for good luck. Captain Thamanat Phromphao, chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, along with Mrs. Narumon Phinyosinwat, the party leader, led a delegation of 55 Members of Parliament, both constituency and party-list representatives, to report to the House of Representatives.
According to Thai News Agency, Captain Thamanat, wearing a black suit and green tie, arrived at 11:00 AM. He and his entourage disembarked from the vehicle in front of the Parliament building before walking inside to pay respects at the shrine of the guardian spirit, Phra Siam Thewathirat, and the ancestral shrine for good fortune. Captain Thamanat appeared cheerful and smiled, greeting the media and introducing the new MPs, saying, "For the new MPs, this is the sacred place of Parliament: Phra Siam Thewathirat. On the right is the ancestral shrine. These are sacred places that we, as MPs, should pay respects to before assuming our duties. Today, you will all become full-fledged MPs."
Captain Thamanat then offered prayers to sacred entities for a while. When reporters asked what he prayed for, Captain Thamanat said that his prayers were a secret and he could not disclose them.
Subsequently, Captain Thamanat led the Kla Tham Party MPs to register as members of the 27th House of Representatives at the Secretariat of the House of Representatives. Captain Thamanat greeted the parliamentary journalists waiting inside, saying, "Long time no see," before entering to register, recording a parliamentary TV segment, and then coming out for a group photo and interviews with the press.
