Khlong Luang: Khlong Luang Police Station, in collaboration with Pak Khlong Rangsit Police Station, has successfully apprehended a suspect involved in the theft of six-wheel truck batteries. The stolen items, valued at thousands of baht, were reportedly being sold for only a few hundred baht.
According to Thai News Agency, the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Mr. Paisarn from Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province, was arrested at a gas station in Khlong Nueng Subdistrict, Khlong Luang District, Pathum Thani Province. The authorities seized a pickup truck with a Lopburi license plate and found 10 methamphetamine pills in his possession before taking him in for questioning.
The arrest followed multiple public complaints regarding truck batteries being stolen from vehicles parked at gas stations. Surveillance footage revealed that the suspect used a pickup truck, matching the one apprehended, to commit the thefts. Police were able to trace and arrest him while he was parked at a gas station.
During questioning, Mr. Paisarn confessed to repeatedly committing the crime. He admitted to selling the stolen batteries for a fraction of their value. The suspect also revealed that he lived out of his car, targeting six-wheel trucks with closed containers parked in secluded areas to carry out the thefts.
