However, this morning's dust levels are still exceeding the standard, impacting public health. Chiang Mai is also ranked as the 4th most polluted city in the world by the IQAir website.
This morning in Mueang district, the PM2.5 level was 150 micrograms per cubic meter. The highest hourly PM2.5 level was recorded at Ban Sob O, Mae Na subdistrict, Chiang Dao district, at 273 micrograms per cubic meter. Overall in the northern region, the highest hourly PM2.5 level was recorded at Pang Mapha Hospital, Sob Pong subdistrict, Pang Mapha district, Mae Hong Son province, at 534 micrograms per cubic meter.
