Phayao: It has begun, the Phi Khan Nam tradition, the 6th month merit-making festival. This unique festival has captured the attention of locals and visitors alike with its distinctive water candle procession, the only one of its kind in the world.
According to Thai News Agency, the festival features various activities, including a student showcasing his skills by playing two drums simultaneously, adding a rhythmic charm to the event. Additionally, attendees are invited to enjoy playing in the water among the butterflies at Kaeng Wang Kratha, enhancing the festive atmosphere.
This annual event not only highlights the cultural heritage of Phayao Province but also serves as a significant gathering for merit-making, drawing people from different regions to participate in the celebrations.
