Chachoengsao: Unable to bear the sound of the gunfire, villagers from Sa Kaeo evacuated to Chachoengsao due to the fighting. Villagers from Wang Pla Tong in Sa Kaeo Province, located just 5 kilometers from the border, have been forced to evacuate and set up temporary shelters in Khlong Nakhon Nueang Khet Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chachoengsao Province.
According to Thai News Agency, the residents of Sa Kaeo Province have been moving to the neighboring Chachoengsao Province due to the ongoing conflict. Over 20 villagers from Wang Pla Tong have fled the area, setting up tents for shelter. Local officials from the Khlong Nakhon Nueang Khet Subdistrict Administrative Organization have been providing assistance and support to these displaced individuals.
Mr. Somkid, a 64-year-old resident, mentioned that the villagers have been in Chachoengsao for two nights following an urgent evacuation notice from the Aranyaprathet Municipality. As they prepared to leave, continuous gunshots and explosions were audible, prompting quick action. The villagers chose to avoid the crowded refugee center in Sa Kaeo, opting instead for Chachoengsao where some have family connections.
