Pheu Thai Party Awaits People’s Decision on Leadership

Bangkok: Pheu Thai Party currently has no core members designated to lead the party as they await the people's vote this afternoon. Each ministry will continue to operate separately until a decision is made. Chaikasem Nitisiri, the party's prime ministerial candidate, has assured that there is no cause for concern regarding the party's readiness, as there are no issues affecting the nation.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior, led a negotiating team yesterday to seek support from the Prachachon Party. The atmosphere at the Pheu Thai Party headquarters has been quiet, with no party leaders present, as they continue with their separate ministry duties. The media remains on standby to monitor developments.

It is anticipated that once the People's Party makes its decision on which side to support for the prime ministerial candidate, the Pheu Thai Party leaders will respond accordingly. Chaikasem Nitisiri has expressed his readiness to assume the role of prime minister and will act in accordance with the party's decisions.

Chaikasem emphasized his preparedness to serve the nation, echoing statements made by Mr. Phumtham Wechayachai in a recent interview. The acceptance of conditions by the People's Party aligns with the resolutions of the Pheu Thai Party leadership.
