Suphan buri: Mr. Varawut Silpa-archa, former Minister of Social Development and Human Security and a member of the Bhumjaithai Party, recently shared his thoughts on the Pheu Thai Party's campaign efforts in Suphan Buri, led by their prime ministerial candidate, Mr. Yosanan Wongsawat. Silpa-archa highlighted the significance of the people in determining the outcome of the elections in the province.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Silpa-archa expressed his gratitude towards the Pheu Thai Party for recognizing Suphan Buri, a relatively small province with a population of a few hundred thousand. He extended his best wishes to Mr. Wongsawat, acknowledging the efforts of a large political party campaigning in the region. Silpa-archa emphasized that the decision of whether Pheu Thai can secure seats in Suphan Buri lies in the hands of the local residents, not in the influence of the political parties involved.
Silpa-archa reiterated that the commitment and continuity of their candidates, many of whom have dedicated decades of service and belong to generational political families, are crucial to their campaign. He noted that being part of the Bhumjaithai Party provides a sense of warmth and motivation. As a result, their candidates are prepared to put forth their utmost effort in the forthcoming election, regardless of the competition.
When questioned about the reasons behind Pheu Thai's decision to commence their campaign in Suphan Buri, Silpa-archa attributed it to the province's appeal, describing it as a city that attracts attention. In response to whether the campaign targeted Suphan Buri due to recent party switches, Silpa-archa stated, "Let's see. If we can penetrate the area, let's try."
