Jail Time! Court Denies Bail for Gan Wellfire, Citing Serious Offenses

Bangkok: Gan Vellfire remains in jail as the court denied bail, citing the seriousness of his crime and the likelihood of him fleeing if released on bail. Following the completion of the detention process, Mr. Songkran or Gan Wellfire, 37 years old, the suspect wanted under an arrest warrant issued by the Criminal Court for the offenses of "intentional homicide, attempted murder, and violations of the Firearms Act," filed a request for temporary release during the detention period.

According to Thai News Agency, the Criminal Court, having considered the request for bail and the request for detention, has ordered that, given the audacious nature of the crime and the suspect's escape after the offense, the severity of the penalty, and the seriousness of the circumstances, bail would likely result in further escape. Furthermore, the investigating officers objected to bail. Therefore, bail is denied, and the request for detention is dismissed. The suspect is hereby notified of this.
