Traffic on the M6 expressway heading towards Nakhon Ratchasima, specifically at kilometer marker 113 in Pin Thong Village, Khanong Phra Subdistrict, Pak Chong District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, was heavily congested with a large volume of vehicles. Traffic was generally heavy and slow-moving. Most of the vehicles observed were people returning to their hometowns in the Northeast before the New Year festival to avoid traffic congestion.

According to Thai News Agency, traffic on Mittraphap Road in the area between Pak Chong and Sikhiu districts shows that many people are also choosing to travel on Mittraphap Road, especially in front of Khlong Phai Prison in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. Traffic is quite heavy on the inbound lanes of Mittraphap Road towards Nakhon Ratchasima, as many people choose to travel early in the morning before arriving in the province. It is expected that people will continue to travel back to their hometowns throughout the day.
