According to Thai News Agency, Gauff concluded the year as the world number 3 for the third consecutive year. Previously, she had reached the number 2 position but could not surpass Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, the reigning world number 1. Subsequently, Iga Swiatek of Poland surpassed Gauff to secure the number 2 spot.
