Thammanat Highlights DSI’s Acceptance of Chonnapat Case as a Proving Ground

Bangkok: Thammanat revealed that the DSI has accepted the case linked to Chanonphat, a Kla Tham Party parliamentary candidate, as a special case, giving the accused an opportunity to prove his innocence through the justice system. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives, Captain Thamanat Phromphao, in his capacity as the chairman of the advisory board of the Kla Tham Party, commented on the Department of Special Investigation (DSI) accepting a money laundering case stemming from gambling websites, which is linked to Mr. Chonnapat Naksua, a Kla Tham Party parliamentary candidate, as a special case. He stated that in politics, he has seen candidates from various parties face similar legal action, and viewed this as a good opportunity for all candidates accused in this manner to prove their innocence through the justice system.

According to Thai News Agency, the party believes that Mr. Chonphat has consistently fought through the judicial process and that it must give its member a chance to prove himself. They believe this will not affect the public's trust in the area in the upcoming election. They also questioned why people only ask about Mr. Chonphat, instead of other parties that have faced similar situations.

Regarding the recent campaigning by the Kla Tham Party, they have focused on the northeastern region and will continue their efforts in the southern region, including Surat Thani and Songkhla provinces. They emphasized that they are a politician who works within the community, a doer rather than a talker, and expressed confidence in this election.
