Bangkok: A delegation from the U.S. Embassy in Thailand met with executives of MCOT Public Company Limited to discuss cooperation and unveil a series of activities marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, titled "Freedom 250."
According to Thai News Agency, Deborah MacLean, Public Affairs Counselor, and Spokesperson Chris Helmkamp held talks with Nattapong Pattraphong, Senior Vice President of the Thai News Agency, and Suwit Supmahaudom, Senior Vice President of the Radio Network Department. The visit included a tour of MCOT's operations and a discussion on the enduring partnership between the two organizations. Both parties exchanged views on future collaborations, focusing on information sharing and joint public engagement initiatives.
During the meeting, the Counselor highlighted the Embassy's year-long celebrations for the U.S. semiquincentennial. A centerpiece of the campaign is an American-style fair designed to engage local Thai communities through cultural showcases, trade booths, and live performances.
