Actor Pond Khunphat Files Police Report Over Altered Video Scandal

Bangkok: Pond Khunphat, the actor famed for his role in "Pee Nak 5," was visibly emotional as he lodged a police report concerning a digitally manipulated video featuring his likeness. The altered video, which falsely portrayed him, was reportedly sold to a private group.

According to Thai News Agency, Pond Khunphat, accompanied by director Mike Phontarit, approached the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau to report the unauthorized use of his image for promoting and selling explicit content. The manipulated videos allegedly depicted Pond in compromising situations, purportedly used as bait to lure victims into transferring money to access a private group.

Pond, in a heartfelt revelation, expressed his distress over the incident, stating, "I'm shocked and surprised by what happened. I'd heard about the leaked video for a while, but I didn't think it would be such a big deal. Then, when the movie 'Pee Nak 5' was released, people started messaging me on social media." He emphasized that his decade-long career in the entertainment industry had been devoid of scandal until this incident, which he described as "awful" and "disgusting." Pond asserted that the video was a scam, using his image and name to deceive people and urged those in possession of the video to refrain from sharing it further.

In a determined stance, Pond vowed to take legal action against the perpetrators, aiming to protect his reputation and prevent others from falling victim to the scam.
