According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Chaiyanok Chidchob, Minister of Digital Economy and Society, commented on the Cabinet's approval of a 1.3 billion baht budget for the live broadcast of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He stated that he was not directly in charge of this matter and recommended directing inquiries to others. He mentioned that the funding decision from the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC) is still pending, but confirmed that the Cabinet has already considered the issue.
