Bangkok: "Akranan" and "Chatchart" have come together to initiate the fondue project, aimed at ensuring security for student rights protection centers in Bangkok. This move comes as a final campaign effort as Akranan runs for another term as Bangkok Governor.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Akranan Kankittinant, Deputy Minister of Education, and Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, are preparing to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU will outline their cooperation in implementing a pilot project using the Traffy Fondue application. This initiative seeks to enhance safety in schools under the Office of the Basic Education Commission (OBEC) in Bangkok, in collaboration with the Academic Freedom and Rights Protection Center (AOC).
The project aims to employ the Traffy Fondue application as a tool for receiving reports and complaints concerning safety issues from students, teachers, educational staff, and parents. With the help of artificial intelligence (AI), the application will automatically sort and forward information to relevant agencies 24/7, thereby bolstering a proactive safety monitoring and prevention system in educational institutions.
The initiative targets the protection of students, teachers, and educational personnel from four major threat categories: violence, accidents, human rights violations, and physical and mental health impacts. Additionally, it supports the collection of safety statistics to aid in planning, developing, and formulating policies by relevant agencies in the future.
The pilot project will be rolled out in schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Secondary Education Service Area Office, Zones 1 and 2, as well as the Bangkok Metropolitan Primary Education Service Area Office. The primary focus is on students, teachers, school administrators, educational personnel, and parents in Bangkok, aiming to foster a safe and conducive learning environment for sustainable learning.
