JSCCIB Calls for Urgent Extension of Work Permits for Foreign Workers

Bangkok: The Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Banking (JSCCIB) is calling on the government to urgently extend work permits for foreign workers. The committee has expressed concern that 36 business associations could face challenges if the permits are not extended promptly.

According to Thai News Agency, the JSCCIB warned of potential setbacks for these associations. The committee emphasized the risk of negative impacts on the economy, particularly in the eastern provinces, if the issue is not addressed. The JSCCIB describes the situation as a ticking time bomb, urging immediate government action.
