ISOC Strengthens Border Security with New Equipment Delivery

Bangkok: The Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC) has joined forces with both government and private sectors to fortify the security of personnel along the Thai-Cambodian border. The effort is part of a larger initiative to integrate resources and expertise to address security concerns in the region.

According to Thai News Agency, ISOC has delivered a second batch of reinforced bunker equipment designed to protect against potential threats such as suicide drones. This initiative aims to enhance the security measures for personnel stationed in the area of the 2nd Army Area along the border. The handover ceremony, which took place at 11:00 AM, was led by Lieutenant General Thanathip Sawangsang, Director of the Public Relations and Information Office of ISOC. The equipment was received by Lieutenant General Piyaphan Thitwattananon, Commander of the 2nd Army Area.

The newly delivered equipment includes 50 cement pipes, each with a diameter of 1.8 meters, along with 6,000 kilograms of fishing nets and 6,000 sandbags. These materials, valued at 2.5 million baht, are intended to bolster security measures by increasing defensive perimeters and enhancing the readiness of border security missions. The equipment will aid in protecting against various threats and support peaceful resolutions to the Thai-Cambodian situation through bilateral mechanisms. This effort aligns with the government's policy of ensuring continuous safety for personnel and civilians in border areas. Sapkavee 1987 Co., Ltd, a private company, donated the equipment.
