Royal Thai Navy Hosts Family Visit Day for Over 4,547 New Recruits

Chonburi: The Royal Thai Navy opened its doors to welcome the families of over 4,547 new recruits, bolstering confidence in the training of the "youngest members of the Royal Thai Navy." The Royal Thai Navy Wives Association and commanding officers participated in meeting and encouraging the new recruits and their families. According to Thai News Agency, the Naval Recruit Training Center, under the Naval Education Department, hosted a Family Visit Day for new recruits of the 1/69 batch (Day 1). Rear Admiral Pichet Pimthanom, Deputy Director of the Naval Education Department, joined representatives from the Royal Thai Navy Wives Association, including Ms. Kochaphan Thammapitakwech, Ms. Sininuch Ngensalung, Ms. Koraknok Wongtrakul, and Ms. Priyanuch Thadpitakkul, to meet with the families and new recruits and offer encouragement. Captain Tiwa Onlaor, Commander of the Naval Recruit Training Center, was also present at the event. The event took place at the CTC training building in Bang Sare Subdistrict, Sattahi p District, Chonburi Province. The Navy Wives Association provided 3,750 sets of snacks and drinks to the new recruits and their families during the first day's activities, allowing them to share a meal in a welcoming atmosphere. The Recruit Training Center is organizing the Family Visit Day on May 30-31, 2026, to strengthen the bond between new recruits and their families. It also allows families to observe the training and care provided to the recruits during their initial month in the Royal Thai Navy. This initiative aims to enhance confidence in the Royal Thai Navy's training program.
