Bangkok: A family has filed a complaint with the Consumer Protection Board (CPB) requesting an investigation into a pool villa in Cha-am district, Phetchaburi province, after their 7-year-old daughter was electrocuted.
According to Thai News Agency, the Foundation for Social Justice Advocacy, along with the family of the young girl, submitted a letter to the CPB urging an investigation into the pool villa where the incident occurred. The electrocution took place in the pool area, and since then, the villa's owner has offered merely slightly over 10,000 baht for medical expenses. The owner has since remained unresponsive, failing to provide any additional compensation.
The family has also called for the CPB to scrutinize all safety measures at the villa and to expand the investigation to include all pool villas in the area to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
