Though the AFF has been held twice before, this will be the first time the Thai Prime Minister has personally attended, underscoring the importance Thailand places on this platform and the strong relationship with Vietnam.

This year's meeting, themed "Shaping our Future Together: Peace, Prosperity, People-Centered," will explore ways to fortify ASEAN's role in addressing global challenges, promoting peace and prosperity, and building a people-centered ASEAN community. Leaders from various countries, including the Prime Ministers of Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Timor-Leste, will participate.
