Kanchanaburi: The father of a 7-year-old girl, who was allegedly assaulted and whose crime was covered up by her half-sister and uncle, traveled to the Forensic Medicine Institute at the Police Hospital to retrieve his daughter's body for religious ceremonies in Sangkhlaburi District, Kanchanaburi Province.
According to Thai News Agency, at approximately 2:30 PM, officials from the Kanchanaburi Protection Foundation accompanied the father to submit documents to request the release of his daughter's body for the funeral rites at Wat Lijia, Sangkhlaburi District. Before the body was released, officials provided a death certificate, report number 02403/2569, dated June 2, 2026. The certificate noted the cause of death as presumed respiratory and circulatory failure, with further results pending.
During the transfer of the body from the institute, the father of the 7-year-old girl knocked on the coffin, expressing his grief and longing by saying, "Come back home, my child. Come home with me."
