Bangkok: Registration for the "Thai Help Thai Plus Food Delivery" initiative is scheduled to open on June 10th, with the government emphasizing that merchants must commit to a single platform. The system will begin accepting orders on June 15th.
According to Thai News Agency, Ms. Lalida Periswiwatana, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister's Office, announced that the government is advancing efforts to broaden income opportunities for food and beverage businesses through the Thai Chuay Thai Plus (60/40) Food Delivery project. Businesses approved in the food, snack, and beverage sectors can register to link with food delivery service providers using the Thung Ngern application, available from June 10, 2026, between 6:00 AM and 11:00 PM.
Ms. Lalida highlighted that merchants can only connect their account with one food delivery service platform, which must be one they are currently utilizing. Once registration is confirmed, the platform cannot be altered. Merchants are advised to carefully consider their options and select the most suitable platform before proceeding with registration.
For businesses without physical branches, registration can be completed through the food delivery application banner in the Thung Ngern app. This involves accepting terms and conditions, selecting the desired platform, entering the business reference code from the food delivery provider, reviewing the information, verifying identity with an OTP code, and waiting for system approval.
Businesses with multiple branches must follow additional procedures. The main branch must initially select the platform, as all branches must use the same platform. If the main branch wishes to join, they need to choose the "Link Main Branch Food Delivery Account" option, enter the store reference code from the chosen platform, confirm the information, and verify identity. Once the main branch is approved, sub-branches can apply to participate through the same platform, with no option to select a different platform.
If the main branch opts not to participate, but allows sub-branches to join, they can select the "Do not link main branch food delivery account" option to designate a central platform. Sub-branches can then apply via the Thung Ngern app using the provided merchant referral code, confirming information, and verifying identity with an OTP. Participation is not mandatory for all branches.
Ms. Lalida noted that merchants who successfully register and connect to the system can start accepting orders from June 15, 2026, through September 30, 2026, until 9:00 PM. Merchants will receive application status notifications the following day via the Thung Ngern app.
Ms. Lalida expressed the government's confidence that the Thai Help Thai Plus (60/40) Food Delivery project will enhance sales channels for food and beverage businesses across the nation, increase opportunities for online customer engagement, stimulate the grassroots economy, and simplify access to benefits for citizens.
