Bangkok:The Social Security Office has detailed the timeline following the election of employer and employee representatives to the Social Security Board, which took place on October 11, 2026. The process involves several key steps, beginning with the reporting of provincial-level results and the verification of vote counts.
According to Thai News Agency, October 19, 2026, marks the deadline for provincial and Bangkok election commissions to submit vote counts. From October 20-30, 2026, the Social Security Office will verify these results and prepare a comprehensive report ranking candidates by vote count for submission to the Election Commission. This will lead to the official certification of the results for employer and employee representatives, as well as the reserve list.
A meeting is scheduled for November 2026, where the Social Security Office will summarize the vote counts and submit them to the Election Commission for final certification. After the results are announced, candidates and eligible voters will have a 7-day window to file written objections. If no objections arise, the office will propose the seven elected employer and employee representatives, based on the highest votes, to the Minister of Labour for official appointment.
The Social Security Office emphasizes that all procedures will adhere to established guidelines to ensure the process is accurate, transparent, and verifiable.
