Washington:The U.S. leader expressed his willingness to attend a trilateral meeting with the leaders of Russia and China, potentially to be held in China. This meeting is expected to occur alongside the APEC summit next month.
According to Thai News Agency, the proposal for a trilateral meeting was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who suggested discussions with U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping regarding the situation in Ukraine. However, President Trump has indicated his preference to focus on nuclear weapons and disarmament issues during the meeting, rather than the Ukraine conflict.
President Trump highlighted the significance of talks involving the three countries that possess substantial nuclear arsenals. Since assuming office for his second term, he has consistently advocated for a nuclear control and disarmament framework that includes not only the United States and Russia but also China, amid reports of China's increasing nuclear capabilities.
