Accra:Parliament Dr. Warong Dechgitvigrom, leader of the Thai Bhakdi Party and MP, has voiced his confidence in possessing decisive evidence against Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Chaiyanok Chidchob, in an upcoming no-confidence debate. He humorously suggested that Chaiyanok's status is akin to being a god's son, implying it would be tough for him to lose his position.
According to Thai News Agency, Dr. Warong discussed the preparations for the no-confidence debate, noting ongoing disagreements about whether it will span three or five days. These discussions are to be resolved in an opposition whip meeting.
Dr. Warong indicated that the debate targets include Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Chaiyanok, among others. He emphasized that the motion for the debate is based on issues proposed by various parties, with the People's Party leading the drafting process.
He asserted his right to take action against Chaiyanok, inviting others to examine his evidence during the debate. He also expressed concerns about the TH-AI Passport project, which he has critiqued for lack of improvement despite opportunities given.
On the matter of potential corruption, Dr. Warong equated "rigging the specifications" with cheating and corruption, highlighting the challenge it poses to Chaiyanok's position. He hinted at connections within politics but suggested that straightforward actions by Mr. Anutin could solidify the impact of the debate and the evidence presented.
