Rayong: A 24-year-old woman tragically lost her life when her car fell off a bridge, throwing her from the vehicle and resulting in her death. The woman's mother, upon hearing the devastating news, collapsed in sorrow, repeatedly calling her deceased daughter's name.
According to Thai News Agency, the incident unfolded early this morning at 4:00 AM (May 18, 2015), when officers from Ban Kram Police Station in Rayong Province were alerted to a car accident involving a vehicle that had plummeted into the Song Salung Canal on Sukhumvit Road, Klaeng District, Rayong Province. Upon arrival, authorities discovered a severely damaged black MG sedan submerged in the canal, and nearby lay the body of the driver, identified as Ms. Pharanda, aged 24. Eyewitnesses reported that the car veered off course after negotiating a curve, collided with the lane guard, and was propelled off the bridge into the canal below. Promptly, they notified emergency services.
Family members, devastated by the scene, arrived shortly after and were overwhelmed with grief upon seeing the wreckage of the car driven by their loved one. It was believed that Ms. Pharanda was traveling back to Klaeng District to visit her family, though her mother was unaware of her daughter's plans. Tragically, by the time she learned of the accident and reached the scene, her daughter had already succumbed to her injuries.
