Young Thai Shooter Shines at THPSA 2025 Action Air Championship

Bangkok: Narut Jarupianlert, an 11-year-old Thai shooter, has made a significant mark by securing second place in the light air pistol shooting competition at the 'THPSA 2025 Action Air Championship: Tourism and Sports Minister's Cup' held at Central Westgate. The competition saw participation from over 250 individuals across five countries, competing in five divisions. The young talent from Thailand was outperformed by Li Yindi from Hong Kong, who took the championship title.

According to Thai News Agency, the event also witnessed impressive performances in other categories. In the Classic category, Thailand's Kanthaphat Watcharapongworakit clinched third place, with Hong Kong's Lo Chun Hui securing the champion's title. In the Open category, Supharik Nirachonkul from Thailand finished in second place, while Jackie Wu Chun Kee from Hong Kong emerged as the champion.

In the Production category, Sathit Chungrungsakul from Thailand achieved third place, with Hong Kong's Lam Chuk-hin taking the top spot. Meanwhile, in the Production Optic category, Piranat Thanpairoj from Thailand secured second place, with Justin Chan Chun-hin from Hong Kong winning the championship.

The competition was overseen by Mr. Surawong Thienthong, the Minister of Tourism and Sports, who served as the chairman of the award ceremony. Additionally, the event marked a significant collaboration for Thailand's sports sector.

Dr. Kongsak Yodmanee, Governor of the Sports Authority of Thailand (SAT), and Dr. Chula Sukmanop, Secretary-General of the Eastern Economic Corridor Policy Committee, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to advance the international sports center project. This initiative aims to develop a world-class sports center meeting international federation standards on approximately 1,500 rai within the EEC Business Center and Smart New City project in Tambon Huai Yai, Amphoe Bang Lamung, Chon Buri Province. The center is envisioned to be a hub for international sports training and competitions, supporting bids to host various sports events and featuring a football stadium with a capacity for 80,000 spectators.
