Bangkok: "Alongkot" continued to avoid addressing questions about potential collusion with the Senate, opting instead to speak Chinese to reporters.
According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Alongkot Worakit, a Senator and Chairman of the Senate Budget Management Monitoring Committee, maintained his stance of not engaging with media inquiries following a meeting he chaired this morning. Before the meeting, Mr. Alongkot greeted the reporters in French with a simple 'Bonjour'.
When questioned about his explanation to the Election Commission regarding allegations of collusion in selecting senators, Mr. Alongkot remained silent, his lips tightly pursed. Additionally, he refused to comment on the matter of a group of senators who submitted a letter to the National Anti-Corruption Commission. This letter requested an investigation into the Election Commission's 26th Investigation and Inquiry Committee and sought the court's intervention to temporarily suspend the committee's operations.
Mr. Alongkot then switched to Chinese, addressing the reporters with 'Ni Men Hao', and stated 'Wo Bu Chu Guan', followed by 'Wo Bu Chua Hua', indicating his intention to refrain from interviews. He concluded with 'Xia xia ni men', thanking the reporters in Chinese.
This behavior mirrored his interaction with the press from the previous day, where he similarly used French and Chinese to communicate.
