Chatchart Sittipunt Launches 24-Hour Campaign with “Fire Trip” Across Bangkok

Phuket: Mr. Chatchart Sittipunt, a candidate for Bangkok Governor, shared a photo on Facebook of himself at a barbershop, gearing up for his final campaign efforts. The picture, showing him getting a haircut, was captioned, "Getting a haircut this morning, getting ready for 24-hour campaigning. See you this evening!"

According to Thai News Agency, "Team Chatchart" has unveiled a "fire trip" campaign for the final push, spanning 24 hours throughout Bangkok from 6:00 PM this evening until 6:00 PM tomorrow. The campaign will kick off at the Chong Nonsi Skywalk and will continue to other locations, including the front plaza of Lumpini Park, Thonburi Fresh Market, and Siam Square.

Mr. Chatchart referred to this initiative as a "fire trip," aligning with his nickname. He acknowledged potential challenges, such as the need for rest breaks if fatigue sets in. However, the primary aim is to increase public awareness about the upcoming elections on June 28, 2026, and encourage voter turnout.

"We're not expecting you to vote for us, but we want you to know that there's an election this Sunday, June 28th, and we want people to go out and vote," Chatchart emphasized.

The campaign will involve a variety of activities, starting at Chong Nonsi Skywalk, and will include observing Bangkok's nightlife, engaging with night shift workers, visiting 24-hour service units, and more to create an interactive experience for attendees. Mr. Chatchart highlighted the importance of reaching out to those who may not receive much election information at night, using this 24-hour effort as a platform to communicate with them. He also reiterated the call for everyone to participate in the elections on June 28th.
