Bangkok: The Commander of the 1st Army Area, Lieutenant General Worayot Leuangsuwan, recently conducted an inspection of new recruit training at the 1st Signal Battalion, emphasizing the Army's commitment to safety, mental health, and professional development.
According to Thai News Agency, the inspection took place at the battalion located on Nang Linchi Road in the Sathorn District of Bangkok, where the Commander reviewed training adherence to Royal Thai Army guidelines, including preventative measures against heatstroke and maintaining open lines of communication with families to foster confidence and reduce anxiety.
The Commander highlighted the "1 Year, 1 Qualification" program designed to offer professional growth opportunities for soldiers. He underscored the significance of maintaining rigorous safety standards, monitoring recruits' mental health during their adjustment phase, and engaging with families about training progress. By promoting educational opportunities through collaboration with the Military Personnel Department, the initiative aims to pave the way for future military careers in line with the Royal Thai Army's objectives.
During the visit, Lieutenant General Leuangsuwan engaged directly with the recruits, inquiring about their training experiences and offering guidance. He encouraged recruits to diligently embrace their training, reassuring them of the high standards maintained by their instructors and commanders. His visit aimed to bolster morale and unity among the recruits, who are currently undergoing a comprehensive training program comprising six weeks of basic training, followed by three weeks of specialized training to prepare them for their roles as competent soldiers.
