Hammer Attack in Motorcycle Taxi Brawl at Soi Ratchaprarop 14

Bangkok: A violent brawl erupted between motorcycle taxi drivers at the entrance and end of Soi Ratchaprarop 14, leading to severe injuries when one driver used a hammer to strike another on the head.

According to Thai News Agency, the altercation took place on May 24, 2026, at 9:30 PM. The Din Daeng Metropolitan Police Station's radio center received reports of the violent incident involving weapons, which resulted in serious injuries at the scene. Police officers who responded to the incident found evidence of a struggle, including a small hammer used in the attack. One male victim suffered a severe head injury and lost consciousness due to the assault.

The police apprehended Mr. Songkran Singkhon-at and an accomplice at the scene. Emergency services were called to transport the injured parties to the hospital for immediate treatment. The suspects are currently detained at the Din Daeng Police Station for questioning to ascertain the cause of the incident and initiate legal proceedings.

According to local residents who witnessed the event, the violence began with a group of intoxicated men exchanging heated insults. This escalated into a physical confrontation, with participants cutting each other off while driving, revving engines, and provoking each other.
