Pheu Thai’s ‘Get Rich Every Day’ Campaign Gains Positive Public Reception

Bangkok: The "Get Rich Every Day: 9 Million Baht for 9 People" campaign has been met with positive feedback from villagers, according to Phrompong. The campaign, part of the Pheu Thai party's election strategy, aims to garner significant votes by focusing on achievable policies.

According to Thai News Agency, Mr. Prompong Nopparit, a former spokesperson and campaign assistant for the Pheu Thai Party, emphasized the importance of policy presentation over accusations as the election campaign enters its final stages. The "More Than Plus" policy, which involves the government covering 70% of costs while the public pays 30%, and the "Rich Every Day, Millionaire" initiative, offering 1 million baht to nine individuals, have sparked considerable public interest. Despite this, social media critics and opposing politicians have accused the party of using taxpayer money irresponsibly and questioned the policies' transparency and economic effectiveness.

Mr. Prompong addressed these criticisms, suggesting that the party's opponents might fear losing votes to Pheu Thai due to its popular policies. He highlighted the party's focus on political, economic, social, livelihood, and security issues, citing past programs like the 30-baht universal healthcare program, the Village Fund, and the OTOP program as examples of successful initiatives. He urged political competitors to engage in policy-based campaigning rather than resorting to accusations, stating that such tactics do not benefit the public. He reaffirmed the Pheu Thai Party's commitment to prioritizing the needs of the people and adapting technology to improve society and eradicate poverty.
