Bangkok: The Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy presided over a ceremony to present the Naval Solidarity Insignia and certificates for the fiscal year 2026.
According to Thai News Agency, Admiral Pairoj Fuengchan, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy, led the event at the Chom Wang Room, Royal Thai Navy Headquarters, in Bangkok Yai District. The ceremony took place at 11:00 AM on March 5, 2026, and focused on honoring individuals who have significantly supported the Navy's operations.
The Sahatthaya Navy Insignia, which translates to "The Royal Thai Navy expresses gratitude for your cooperation," is awarded to those who have shown dedication and perseverance in support of the Navy and the nation. The Ministry of Defence established this emblem and certificate to acknowledge individuals deemed worthy by the Royal Thai Navy, including those who have contributed to public service alongside the Navy. The Naval Civil Affairs Department is tasked with nominating candidates for this honor.
This year, 167 individuals were selected to receive the Sahatthaya Navy Insignia. The recipients include high-ranking naval officers, members of the Navy Wives Association, military and police officers, civil servants, senior executives, local government leaders, media personnel, celebrities, artists, and other professionals.
In a congratulatory speech, Admiral Fuengchan emphasized the significance of the Sahathai Naval Insignia as a prestigious honor from the Royal Thai Navy. He acknowledged the recipients' dedication and consistent support for the Navy's operations, expressing gratitude on behalf of the Navy. Admiral Fuengchan also encouraged the recipients to continue their support and mentioned that wearing the insignia with appropriate attire would be a great honor.
