Nakhon pathom: His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen attended the National Unity Concert, "Music of Loyalty, Uniting Hearts in Remembrance of His Majesty's Benevolence," held at the Mahidol Sittakarn Auditorium in Nakhon Pathom Province.
According to Thai News Agency, the concert took place on March 7, 2026, with Their Majesties presiding over the event.
Upon arrival, Their Majesties were welcomed by Prime Minister Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Ms. Arocha Nandamontri, Governor of Nakhon Pathom Province, and several other dignitaries, including Professor Emeritus Dr. Piyaskol Sakolsattayathorn, Chairman of the Mahidol University Council, and Professor Dr. Piyamit Sritara, President of Mahidol University and Chairman of the Organizing Committee.
The event was marked by a formal welcome, during which Their Majesties signed a commemorative book and received a program booklet from Mr. Bandhoon Lamsam and Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul. Proceeds from the concert were presented to His Majesty for charitable purposes. The President of Mahidol University also briefed His Majesty on the concert's objectives.
Following the concert, His Majesty met with representatives of the performers, including singers, the choir, the conductor, and the band leader, presenting them with bouquets of flowers. His Majesty also engaged with various groups who presented gifts. The royal departure from the auditorium concluded the event.
The concert was a collaborative effort by Mahidol University, its College of Music, the Mahidol University Alumni Association under Royal Patronage, and the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra. It honored the benevolence of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit, the Queen Mother, and her contributions to education, arts, culture, and national unity.
The performance featured patriotic and historical songs, including the Thai national anthem, the royal anthem, and compositions by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. These selections celebrated hope, love, and gratitude for the royal family's benevolence.
